Modesto by name.
Mode to my friends.

From Cuba to Denmark, with curiosity in my suitcase.

I was born in Cuba and moved to Denmark in 2017. A new country, a new language, and an entirely new wardrobe. Luckily, curiosity doesn’t need a winter coat.

I graduated in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering from ISPJAE in 2010. These days I work as a Senior DevOps engineer, keeping systems running and automating things that don’t deserve to be done by hand over and over. If a machine can do it, let’s talk.

I’m interested in a lot of things. Yes, a lot.

Technology is my job, but curiosity doesn’t clock out. I follow current affairs and like to dig into what’s behind a headline, an idea, or a claim that sounds a little too sure of itself.

I’m fascinated by the scientific method as a way to get closer to objectivity: asking questions, checking evidence, and being willing to change our minds. Mine included. It didn’t come with a guarantee of being right, either.

And that’s where MyOwnMode comes in.

A place to share projects, think out loud, and keep learning. There’s room for code, ideas, and the occasional unanswered question. I don’t have all the answers. That’s half the fun.
